SPELL CHECKER ACTIVATION INSTRUCTIONS

Activating your new speller is simple. Import a special dictionary from us to your word processing app. Then enable the special dictionary. Here, we provide the instructions how to do that. Please read the following instructions and then execute them using your word processing app. So open your word processing app now. Remember! Follow this set of instructions. Apply them in your word processing app. Let's get started.

 

1. Open the "WordMac2004" folder using Finder.  

  

   

2. Copy "Med2017.dic" to the "Microsoft" folder in your account. 

   

3. Open a Microsoft Word document. 

  

4. Select "Word" then "Preferences." 

 

5. In "Preferences", select "Spelling & Grammar."  You may need to change a couple of settings there. 

  

6. In "Spelling", put a check mark by "Always suggest corrections," and remove any check from "Suggest from main dictionary only."  Click on the "Dictionaries" button.

  

7. In "Custom Dictionaries", click on "Add..."   You're going to add your new custom dictionary.

  

8. Browse to your Microsoft folder.

  

9. In "Add Dictionary", Enable "All Documents."

  

10. In your "Microsoft" folder, select  your new custom dictionary, then hit the "Open" button.

Your Inductel custom dictionary could also be named “Combo2007.dic” depending on which Inductel product you have.

  

11. In "Custom Dictionaries", place a check mark in the box by your Inductel custom dictionary. Click on "OK" to exit the "Custom Dictionaries" window. Click on "OK" to exit the "Preferences" window.

  

12. Verify that your new speller is working. Key in some test words.

  

Medical speller key in: abrachia, Celebrex, and sternocleidomastoid. If your new speller is working it will pass those words as being correctly spelled.

  

Legal speller key in: ab initio, judicata, legitimum, respondere. If your new speller is working it will pass those words as being correctly spelled.

  

Sci & Tech speller key in: abrachia, Celebrex, and sternocleidomastoid. If your new speller is working it will pass those words as being correctly spelled.

  

Combination speller key in: abrachia, Celebrex, and sternocleidomastoid. If your new speller is working it will pass those words as being correctly spelled.

 

13. Done!
