SPELL CHECKER ACTIVATION INSTRUCTIONS |
MICROSOFT WORD 2008
These instructions will help you activate your new spell checker custom dictionary in your Microsoft Word program.
1. Start Microsoft Word, and open a document.
2. Select "Word" then choose "Preferences."
3. In "Preferences", select "Spelling & Grammar."
In "Spelling", place a check by "Always suggest corrections", and remove any check from the "Suggest from main dictionary only."
Then click on the "Dictionaries" button.
4. In "Custom Dictionaries", click on "Add..." You're going to add your Inductel custom dictionary.
5. In "Add Dictionary", browse to the "WordMac2008" folder. The full path to that folder is:
Enable all files, select your Inductel custom dictionary, and then hit the "Open" button.
By the way, your Inductel custom dictionary could be named “Combo2024.dic” depending on which Inductel product you have.
6. In "Custom Dictionaries", place a check mark in the box by your Inductel custom dictionary. Click on "OK" to exit "Custom Dictionaries". And then Click "OK" to exit the "Preferences" window.
7. Verify that your new dictionary is working. Key in some test words.
Medical spell checker key in: abrachia, Celebrex, and sternocleidomastoid. If your new speller is working it will pass those words as being correctly spelled.
Legal spell checker key in: ab initio, judicata, legitimum, respondere. If your new spell check dictionary is working it will pass those words as being correctly spelled.
Sci & Tech spell checker key in: abrachia, Celebrex, and sternocleidomastoid. If your new speller is working it will pass those words as being correctly spelled.
Combination spell checker key in: abrachia, Celebrex, and sternocleidomastoid. If your new speller is working it will pass those words as being correctly spelled.
